Dr. Malay Chakravarty is a leading neurosurgeon in Siliguri, India. He is the founder of Dr. Malay's Hospital & Neurosciences Centre Private Limited, Also, he is the Chairman & Chief Consultant Neurosurgeon at Thalamus Institute of Medical Sciences, Siliguri.
Dr. Chakravarty has accomplished an extensive experience in a wide range of neurosurgical procedures. From complex brain tumor removals and stroke interventions to delicate microsurgeries and spinal procedures, he has gained the reputation of being the best neurosurgeon at handling even the most challenging cases.

His impressive medical background includes training at Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh, India, followed by further specialization at the Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) in Kolkata. Additionally, to further refine his skills, Dr. Chakravarty even pursued a fellowship in neurosurgery at Newcastle University in England.   •  Presented a paper on “Aggressive microsurgery for skull base tumors. Personal experience considering the Indian Scenario.” At the annual conference of   the society of Skull Base Surgery Society of India held at CMCH, Vellore from October 21-22, 2011.
  • Obtained hands on training in the cadaveric microsurgical and endoscopic skull base approaches at the workshop on skull base surgery held at CMCH        Vellore on 20th October 2011. It included an extradural approach to the petrous apex and cavernous sinus, techniques of orbitozygomatic osteotomy, and an endoscopic approach to the sellar and parasellar region.
  • Presented a paper on “Aggressive microsurgery for skull base tumors. Personal experience considering the Indian Scenario.”   at ANEICON 2011 held at        Cuttack, Orissa on 19th Nov.2011.
  • Presented a paper on “Non-Traumatic Subarachnoid hemorrhage” with a surgical video presentation on Clipping anterior communicating artery aneurysms and excision of cortical AVM at the meeting of Siliguri Neuro Club.

  • Paper presentation on “ Optimally invasive skull base surgery. Should we substitute or supplement microsurgery in the 21st century?” At the conference of the Skull Base Surgery Society of India and joint meeting of the Indian Society of Cerebrovascular Surgery and American Association of Neurological        Surgeons held at Mumbai from September 22-24th 2012.
  • Attended and participated in the cadaveric hands-on dissection course for microsurgical and endoscopic approach to the skull base and live surgical        workshop for the endoscopic approach to the anterior cranial base held on 21st September 2012 at Sion Hospital and Bombay Hospital respectively.
  • Presented a Poster on “ Microsurgery for pure cerebellar cavernomas” at the 5th Japan India Neurosurgical Meeting held at Osaka, Japan.
  • Attended and participated in a microsurgical dissection and surgical session on the approach to anterior circulation aneurysms conducted by Dr Juha          Hernesniemi at AIIMS, New Delhi.
